The P-Dialogues are fictional conversations to present current issues in a balanced, informative, but lighthearted format.
The sisters Polly and Publia Polici are political change advocates. They argue the various sides of an issue, and their dog Plato interjects with provocative questions.
Their guiding principles are peace, justice, dignity, tolerance, dialogue, truthfulness, transparency, honesty, compassion, and generosity.
About Polly and Publia Polici …
We are Polly and Publia Polici, two sisters born in Rome.
We came as teenagers to the United States with our father Pietro Polici, an international diplomat married to an American scholarly woman. She chose the name Polly because she loved politics, and the name Publia in memory of Saint Publia the Confessor.
My father loved “Publia,” as it reminded him of Publius, a name borne by Emperor Hadrian and the poet Virgil; and because of the Founding Fathers’ pseudonym “Publius,” who wrote the papers that make up The Federalist.
We named our dog Plato in memory of the great philosopher.
